Litigation & Insolvency
Jennifer Fraser is a Partner and Litigation and Insolvency Local Practice Group Head, as well as Insolvency and Restructuring Local Team Leader. She advises primarily in the areas of solvent and insolvent liquidations and insolvent corporate restructurings. Her practice includes advising liquidators, receivers, directors, and creditors of Bermuda insolvent companies, or companies undergoing reconstructions where insolvency issues arise. She also advises on insolvency issues related to corporate transactions.
Jennifer joined the group in 1992 as an Associate in the Litigation & Insolvency Department and became a Partner in April 2000. She is a member of a sub-committee presently considering the reform of the insolvency laws of Bermuda.
Jennifer recently earned a Leading rating for restructuring and insolvency in the 2009 PLC Which Lawyer Individual Recommendation league.
Representative Work
Examples of recent transactions on which Jennifer has acted include:
• the successful restructuring of FLAG Telecom Group and APW Ltd
• the restructuring of the Global Crossing Group
• drafting and implementation of schemes of arrangement for insolvent and solvent insurance companies.
